The Gillespie County Health Division wanted to share the winter storm preparedness newsletter that was sent out to all permitted establishments today. The goal is to help operators proactively prepare for the impending winter weather and ensure they are taking the necessary steps to maintain food safety before and after the storm.
We have added a helpful links directly on our department's homepage to include the FDA winter weather food safety documents as well for access to the public to help prepare. We all agreed and highly encourage sharing this document with friends and family. We found it suitable for us "un-wintered" Texans.
