    Regular meetings for the Texas Hill Country PHWFF program will take place on Tuesdays from noon to 3 pm and Wednesdays from 5 to 8 pm at the Hill Country Veterans Center, 411 Meadowview Ln, Kerrville. All are welcome to attend any or all of the meetings. In addition, the program will hold meetings on Mondays from 2 to 3:30 pm for inpatients at the Kerrville VA Medical Center.

    Texas has the “State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry” (STEAR) program for citizens who would need help in an emergency to provide information on themselves, a family member, or other person. The information is put into a database accessible to emergency planners and emergency responders. Emergency Management personnel will be able to use the information in the database to respond to major emergencies such as our recent week-long freeze, or if a fire forces an evacuation of residents.
